Mabalacat City – Mayor Crisostomo Garbo encouraged all barangay captains who has area of responsibility along MacArthur highway to find a way to monitor and rid once and for all the solid waste that are being dumped along the major thoroughfare.This was announced by the city mayor during the recent Peace and Order Councilmeeting at Jade Hall, Xevera.
“Kilala po ninyo ako na ayaw ko ang nakakakita ng basura lalo na sa mga pangunahing lansangan at mga katubigan. Kaya ang gusto ko ay kailangan nakokolekta agad ang mga basura sa gilid ng MacArthur highway sa loob lamang ng 24 oras,” Garbo ordered.
Aside from the village chiefs, the assembly was also attended by Councilor Noel Castro,Mabalacat COP PLtCol. Abraham Abayari, city administrator Franco AlejoMadlangbayan, DILG-Mabalacat Officer Rowena Ocampo, Bureau of Fire, PhilippineDrug Enforcement Agency, City Environment and Natural Resources Office, CityPlanning and Development Office, City Legal Office, City Accounting Office,Department of Social Welfare Development, City Disaster Risk ReductionManagement Office, City Information Office and other key government employees from the local government unit.
“Magtulungan tayo rito. Magkaroon tayo ng maayos na coordination sa pagitan ng mga barangay at sa ating CENRO. Pag-aralan na rin natin ang pagpataw ng mas matinding kaparusahan sa mga lalabag sa batas,” Garbo added.
Also discussed during the POC meeting were about issues on obstruction of public roads, dogs on the loose, and drug-clearing updates.
