BALANGA City, Bataan: The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) has a hardworking Bataeño with many years of experience in the government service for its new undersecretary.
President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos has appointed Engr. Wilfredo S. Mallari as new DHSUD Usec from his former post as Usec of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
DHSUD is headed by Secretary Jose Rizalino “Jerry” Acuzar who like Mallari is from Balanga City.
Mallari rose from the ranks starting as part time engineering aide with the DPWH until becoming district engineer in Bataan’s first engineering district and later district engineer of Las Pinas -Muntinlupa in Metro Manila. He was promoted to DPWH Region IV-B Director.
After his retirement, he was appointed by then President Duterte as DPWH Usec under secretary now Senator Mark Villar.
