CABANATUAN CITY (PIA) — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed improvement works along various sections of Jct. Tablang-Gabaldon Road in Laur, Nueva Ecija.
Nueva Ecija 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO) implemented the P21.94-million off-carriageway improvement project.
DPWH Regional Director Roseller Tolentino said it covers construction of concrete road shoulder with a thickness of 230 millimeters along intermittent sections of Jct. Tablang-Gabaldon Road.
“Improving road condition along the secondary road was an important project of the Nueva Ecija 2nd DEO as it provides connection from the capital city of Palayan and the towns of Laur and Gabaldon,” Tolentino added.
Through the newly-widened sections, road condition and carrying capacity has been upgraded providing more convenient travel for both motorists and pedestrians.
It also contributed to the greater socio-economic improvement of the municipality by allowing efficient transportation of goods and services. (CLJD-PIA 3)
