PILAR, Bataan — Search continued on Tuesday for the missing 15-year-old boy who went spear-fishing at the irrigation dam in Barangay Diwa here Monday night.

Conducting the search for Steven Abalos, Grade 10 student from Diwa, are members of the Philippine Coast Guard, rescue teams from Balanga City and Pilar, police and Bureau of Fire Protection.

Nelia Abalos, 53, said her missing son did not seek permission from them because they have been advising the boy not to go to the dam after her second of seven children also drowned while fishing in the same dam five years ago this March.

She said that her youngest son was taking up welding and his only dream was to be a good welder. The mother is a househelp while the father is a farmer.
