OLONGAPO CITY – A man wanted for 15-counts of rape was arrested by joint elements of Police Station 5 of the city police and the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, Bulacan Provincial Police Office in Barangay San Martin III, City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.
PS5 OIC Capt. George Francis B. Molina identified the suspect as Sammy Layam y Anila @Sammy, 46, residing at No 5171 Dayanan Street, Barangay Gordon Heights., Olongapo City.
The suspect was arrested by virtue of warrants of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Gemma Theresa B. Hilario-Logronio of the 3rd Judicial Region, Regional Trial Court Branch 12, Olongapo City dated Jan. 6, 2023.
The suspect is charged for statutory rape under Art. 266-A, Paragraph I, RPC as amended by RA. 8353 and RA. 11648 and in Rel. to RA. 8369, (15 counts) docketed under Criminal Cases No. 2022-581FC to 2022-595FC, with no bail recommended; rape through sexual assault under Art. 266-A, Par. 2, RPC as amended by RA. 8353 and RA. 11648 and in Rel. to RA. 7610 and RA. 8369 (2 counts) docketed under Criminal Cases No. 2022-596FC and 2022-597FC, with P200,000 recommended bail for each case; and acts of lasciviousness under Art. 336, of the RPC in Rel. to Sec. 5 (B) of RA. 7610 and RA. 8369 (8 counts) docketed under Criminal Cases No 2022-598FC to 2022-605FC, with P120,000 recommended bail for each case.
The suspect is now locked up in jail at Police Station 5.
