In rites at Kingsborough Convention Center, Dr. Ponce credited Governor Pineda and Vice Gov. Lilia Pineda for having prioritized the health program as a way to ensure the safety and well-being of residents in the province.
Dr. Ponce said the Alagang Nanay Preventive Health Care program, created through Ordinance No. 843 last July, has tracked down poor residents with illnesses through early diagnosis, helping provide timely treatment before their cases turn to worse.

“We saw to it that we complied with the policies, memoranda and circulars of the DOH so that we can ensure the health and well-being of residents in Pampanga,” he added.
Two public hospitals also received awards for efficient delivery of healthcare services.
Escolastica Romero District Hospital is the only hospital in Central Luzon to gain a “National Hospital Star Award” for its exemplary practices on public safety, infection and control, and service provision, customer and employees satisfaction, and community-based activities.
The Diosdado P. Macapagal Memorial Provincial Hospital was given a “Medical Assistance to Indigent People (MAIP) Program Achiever Award.”
