BALANGA CITY — The head of the Bataan Police Provincial Office emphasized the true essence of Christmas during lighting ceremonies of the Christmas tree and lanterns at Camp PFC Cirilo Tolentino here last Thursday.
“The true essence of Christmas will be in our hearts by sharing, giving and forgiving so that everyone will sincerely feel the warmth, abundance and happiness of being blessed,” Col. Romell Velasco told the police corps.
He also expressed his gratitude to all the men and women of Bataan PPO for demonstrating what he termed as “unwavering commitment and the highest standards of professionalism in the public service.”
“Your dedication to your work that you do is truly inspiring,” the Bataan PD noted.
Velasco said the 20-foot Christmas tree adorned with sparkling lights and lanterns, symbolizing the 776 strong men and women of the Bataan PPO, is the main attraction in the police camp.
Singing and dancing by police officers and a fireworks display marked the lighting of lanterns and the Christmas tree.
