Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) regional director Ana Dione said the jobs vacancies were for cashiers, production operators, customer service representatives, sales clerks, customer service consultants, retail and sales agents, sewers, drivers, and accounting staff .
“About 1,500 overseas careers from 12 recruitment agencies, as processed by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration, will likewise be offered,”
Dione disclosed. Dione said overseas employment vacancies include production workers, engineers, architects, administrative assistants, cooks, waiters, waitresses, construction workers, and plumbers.
The job fairs were held at the Malolos Convention Center in Bulacan and, on June 13, in Robinsons Townville in Cabanatuan City.
These fairs adopted the Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan (TNK) concept of DOLE and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), she added.
“TNK aims to achieve full employment and creation of jobs in Key Employment Generators (KEGS) specifically in the manufacturing, agri-business, construction, tourism, IT-BPM, transportation and logistics, and retail and trade,” Dione explained.
“The job and business fairs are expected to increase rate in applicants hired in KEGS; apprise and advocate job seekers to consider entrepreneurial and business opportunities; and build strong partnerships among concerned agencies such as DOLE, DTI, local government units, and stakeholders from the private sector,” the official added.
