2 Navy personnel dead in motorcycle–SUV collision

ORION, Bataan — A man and a woman, both members of the Philippine Navy, died after the motorcycle they were riding collided with an SUV along the Roman Highway here Tuesday morning.

Major Roger Pecenio, Orion police chief, identified the fatalities as rider John Michael Cupinio, 24, of Amadeo, Cavite and pillion rider Mary Vic Divinagracia, 28, of Tanza, Cavite; both enlisted personnel of the Philippine Navy.

The two were rushed by the Orion rescue team to the Bataan General Hospital in Balanga City where they died. 

Pecenio said the motorcycle was travelling from Mariveles to Balanga City while the SUV driven by Frederick Seects of Orion was heading towards the opposite direction from Balanga City to Limay, Bataan when the accident happened in Barangay Sta. Elena.

As a result of the collision, the victims sustained physical injuries while both vehicles incurred undetermined cost of damages.

In a report to Bataan police director Col. Romell Velasco, Pecenio said that both vehicles and the driver of the SUV were brought to the Orion municipal police station for proper disposition.
