CABANATUAN CITY – A total of 37 people facing different criminal charges in various courts, including rape and murder, were nabbed in a three-day operation against wanted persons in Nueva Ecija.
Col. Richard Caballero, OIC of the Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office, said the operation that was conducted from Oct. 19 to 21, four in their most wanted list were among those arrested: one for murder in Licab town, two for rape in Science City of Muñoz and Llanera, and one for illegal logging in San Jose City.
Caballero added that of 37 arrested persons, San Jose City Police Station netted the highest with four arrests, followed by this city’s with three, and two each by the stations of Licab, Llanera, Laur, Palayan, Lupao, San Antonio, San Leonardo, and Talavera.
The police stations of Bongabon, Cabiao, Gapan City, Gen. Natividad, Guimba, Gen. Tinio, Jaen, Pantabangan, Quezon, San Isidro, Santa Rosa, Talugtug, and Zaragoza had a single arrest each.
Caballero said that the province has recorded zero crime incident for the duration of the thee-day one-time-big time operation.
“These operations serve as warning to all criminals who are fearless and unscrupulous,” Caballero said, saying Central Luzon police director Brig. Gen. Cesar Pasiwen urged cops to “ensure the safety and security of the community.”
