MALOLOS CITY (PIA) — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed the rehabilitation project along Meycauayan-Marilao Road.
This asset preservation and preventive maintenance undertaking has a total length of 3.052 kilometers.
DPWH Bulacan 2nd District Engineer George Santos said it involves concrete reblocking of damaged pavements, asphalt overlay, and installation of thermoplastic pavement markings to ensure the safety of motorists.
P48 million was allotted for the project under the 2022 General Appropriations Act.
“Paved roads provide numerous safety benefits for motorists and pedestrians and the completion of this project will also ease traffic congestion in the area,” Santos emphasized.
It was implemented to prevent the early deterioration of the concrete pavements of the access road that connects Bulacan’s industrial zones to North Luzon Expressway. (CLJD-PIA 3)
