SAMAL, Bataan — Police operatives arrested a father and his son and confiscated illegal drugs during a buy-bust operation in a village here adjacent to a big river at past 10 in the evening of Sunday.
Staff Sgt. Randy Boy Manlutac, Samal police investigator, identified the suspects as a 49-year-old construction worker and his 28-year-old son, both of Barangay East Calaguiman, Samal.
The investigator said the two are in the police drug watch list and they have received many reports of the illegal drug activities of the father and son. Confiscated were one small heat-sealed plastic sachet and one medium sachet of white substance believed to be shabu and the P1,000 marked money.
Participating in the operation were members of the Samal municipal police station headed by Major Jimmy Albert Decin, provincial police drug enforcement unit, Bataan police intelligence unit and the 1st provincial mobile force company.
Manlutac said the raid was in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Region 3.
“Magkasabwat ang mag-ama kaya pareho namin silang sasampahan ng kasong paglabag sa Sections 5 and 11 ng RA 9165,” Decin said in a report to Bataan police director Col. Romell Velasco.
