CLARK FREEPORT – A 21-year-old male call center agent allegedly tried to commit suicide amidst a fight with his girlfriend at about 4 p.m. last Saturday by jumping off a mall footbridge here and landing some 30 feet on the ground below amid shocked shoppers.
In a report, Police Station 4 head Chief Inspector Dederick Relativo identified the agent as Darelle Christian Sison of 6th Street in Balibago, Angeles City.

The report said Sison was having a fight with his girlfriend identified as Angelica Mae Barizo, 26, also a call center agent, while they were on the footbridge leading to SM City Clark mall. In the heat of argument, Sison suddenly jumped from the bridge and hit the pavement below where shoppers were either on their way to or headed elsewhere from the mall.

Security guards cordoned off the site where Sison fell while others sought the help of the police and rescue teams. Sison was observed conscious and obviously sustained injuries in his bleeding head, as well as fractures in his leg.

Dr. Paul Hernandez of the Angeles University Foundation Medical Center said Sison was out of danger as of yesterday but that he still had to stay at the intensive care unit of the hospital.

Sison’s sister Arianne Cristelle, 23, told police probers that her brother had also tried to commit suicide by slashing his wrist in April last year.

“It would seem that Sison had suicidal tendencies and is in need of professional help,” Relativo noted.
