MABALACAT CITY – The city government is gearing its freelance community sector
through its first virtual assistant workshop program held at the Mabalacat City
College on Aug. 5.
The MCG–Management Information System Office in partnership with the
Department of Information and Communications Technology and specialized
training organization XCEL HUB conducted a free basic virtual assistant training
program for the freelance community of this city.
Some 50 freelancers participated in the workshop on data management and
analytics led by XCEL Hub representative Roxanne Lineses which aims to provide
additional knowledge on best practices and improve their skills.
Basic navigation of virtual assistance tools and resumé writing were also included
in the training program to give a holistic approach and prepare the participants in
pursuing jobs online.
The city government seeks to elevate professional development of the freelance
community in the city and help expand their options for online job opportunities.
Schedule of the next batch of the virtual assistant training program will be
announced via Mabalacat City News.
