LIMAY, Bataan – The Bureau of Customs in the Port of Limay announced Friday its
ongoing marine patrol operations along the waters of Bataan to check on illegal
activities.
Lawyer William Balayo, district collector, said with the use of its fast patrol boat
under the water patrol division and port operations division, BOC-Limay
undergoes patrol in coordination with different law enforcement agencies
including the Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, and
the police maritime group.
Balayo said they conduct sea patrol as deterrent to crimes. “Our relentless efforts
to patrol the seas are for letting law-abiding citizens know that they are
protected. On the other hand, it gives a strong warning to the bad guys that BOC
means business,” he said.
The district collector assured the public that they will continue their vigilance
against unlawful activities to suppress smuggling of imported goods and further
enhance border control and protection to safeguard public welfare.
