He said the rape acts surfaced Sunday after the suspect again tried to rape the girl who was holding a six-month old baby he had sired with his live-in partner who was the victim’s elder sister.
The baby fell to the ground arising from the struggle, attracting neighbors and driving Samin to flee. It was then that the girl admitted to her mother that the suspect had raped her several times in the past, the police report said.
The police noted that the girl and her mother often took care of the baby in their house in Paniqui when the suspect and his live-in partner went to work.
A medical examination of the victim indicated she was already pregnant.
Samin was arrested in Tarlac City by the joint team of the Intelligence Branch of the Tarlac Police Provincial Office and the Paniqui police led by the Inspector Marty Calara.
Police said he was charged yesterday with rape under RA 7610 or the Anti-Child Abuse law.
