ANGELES CITY — Angeleña women can soon avail free pap smear and breast cancer screening via the comfort of their homes.

This, upon the instructions of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. to the Gender and Development Office (GAD) and the City Health Office (CHO) to bring these services to each barangay, using the city’s bus clinics.

Lazatin said this during his inaugural speech on June 30, 2022 in Barangay Cutud where he shared that the GAD will be re-launching women’s health programs such as free pap smear and breast cancer screening.

Lazatin said that just like his father, Cong. Carmelo “Tarzan” Lazatin, grandfather Apung Feleng, and brother, First District Congressman Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, health is the cornerstone of his administration.
