MARIVELES, Bataan – A motorcycle rider and his still unidentified female back rider died while another back-riding male sustained injuries when the motorcycle they were riding collided with a trailer truck at the Bypass Road here Monday.
Lt. Colonel Emelito Dela Cruz, Mariveles police chief, said an attending physician pronounced rider Julius Grajo, Jr., 21 and his back rider, a female wearing gray shirt and shorts who has remained unidentified, dead-on-arrival at the Mariveles District Hospital.
The two fatalities sustained injuries on the head and body.
Jonwyll Domingo, the other back rider, 20, had hand fractures and confined at the Mariveles hospital.
Reports showed that the motorcycle was bound for Barangay Sisiman where Grajo and Domingo resided when it collided in Barangay Baseco, Mariveles with the trailer truck travelling in the opposite direction.
Trailer truck driver Allan Guevarra, 42, of Bongabon, Nueva Ecija, was unhurt. The truck as well as the motorcycle incurred undetermined amount of damages. The chief of police said that trailer truck driver faces cases for double homicide, serious physical injury, and damage to property.
