Man nabbed for sextortion

CABANATUAN CITY – A 45-year-old “financial adviser” was arrested in an entrapment operation Wednesday for allegedly extorting money from a businesswoman with whom he allegedly had an affair.

Lt. Col. Carl Omar Fiel, city police chief, identified the suspect as Michael Loyola, married and resident of Barangay Marawa, Jaen, Nueva Ecija.

Fiel said the entrapment operation was conducted at about 11 a.m. in Barangay Nabao this city upon the complaint of the 44-year-old businesswoman.

Investigation showed the suspect had repeatedly asked for money from the victim in exchange of not publishing a video of their supposed sexual activities.

Police operatives collared him upon receiving P10,000 he allegedly asked from the victim for the nth time.

Charges of robbery-extortion were being mulled against the suspect.
