SAMAL, Bataan — Villagers in a sitio here appealed Friday to authorities for a solution to the swarms of flies pestering them for over a week now.
An inland resort nearby was not spared from the swarms of flies; its kitchen, dining tables were literally covered with flies. Some visitors were seen driving out the flies from their food.
Flies were on house floorings, kitchens, walls, dining halls, tables, clothes, and even electric wirings in Sitio Parang Tres, Barangay Ibaba.
She said they pity the children, some of whom are already afflicted with diarrhea.
The owner of the poultry farm which residents point to as the source of the flies was not available but security guard Aljon Damirez said they always spray the place with insecticides and institute other measures to kill the flies and maintain cleanliness.
