IBA, Zambales — Of the 100 policemen who applied for local absentee voting, 97 approved by the Commission on Elections actually cast their votes starting Wednesday at the covered court of Camp Captain Conrado D. Yap here.
As of Thursday, all 97 were already able to vote.
The local absentee voting permitted PNP personnel residing outside their areas of responsibility to exercise the right to vote without compromising their duties during the electoral process.
Like its overseas counterpart, local absentee voting is only for national positions such as president, vice-president, senators, and partylist.
No untoward incident happened during the activity. Minimum standard health protocols were enforced to ensure that the spread of communicable disease is prevented.
