CLARK FREEPORT – Tiger Air Philippines and Air Asia Zest have offered free air transport of relief goods from Pampanga donors to typhoon-devastated areas in the Visayas.

The Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) said it has coordinated with the airlines not only for the airlift of the donated goods, but also to transport persons committed to humanitarian missions needed in Tacloban and Ormoc cities.

CIAC President-CEO Victor Jose Luciano said that airlines from Tiger Air Philippines and Air Asia Zest offered their services free of charge.

“The services will include regular flights to transport much needed supplies to the typhoon ravaged areas in the Visayas, “ he said. Luciano said “this is one way of extending our assistance to the victims of the typhoon.”

Among the first relief goods to be airlifted by the airlines are relief goods solicited by the Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PamCham) and Central Luzon Television Channel 36.

PamCham raised some P1.9 million worth of relief goods loaded into aircraft yesterday. Also slated for airlifting were relief goods solicited by LGC Group, San Fernando Filipino-Chamber of Commerce, Mekeni Foods Corporation, House of David Group, Romac Group of Companies, Patient Care Corporation, Solana Land, Celtech, 3rd District Rep. Oscar Rodriguez, and People’s Lumber.
