PRC donates 200 tablets to public schools

BALANGA CITY — The People’s Republic of China through its embassy in Manila on Monday donated 200 tablets to seven public elementary schools here.

PRC Ambassador to the Philippines Huang XiLian personally handed the tablets to representatives of the public schools after signing the deed of donations with Balanga City Mayor Francis Garcia and an official of the Department of Education.

Gov. Albert Garcia and Vice-Gov. Cris Garcia witnessed the signing and distribution of tablets at The Bunker, seat of the provincial government.

Recipients of the tablets were the E. Bernabe Elementary School, Tanato Elementary School, Cabog-Cabog Elementary School, Tenejero Elementary School, Balanga Elementary School, Cataning Elementary School, and Cupang Elementary School.

An Aeta children choir from the Magbukun Tribe serenaded the Chinese embassy officials.

The ambassador and his delegation later heard and viewed short presentations on the public-private partnership project, provincial and city tourism, Mt. Samat Flagship Tourism Enterprise Zone and investment in Bataan.

Earlier, they visited some factories in the Freeport Area of Bataan in Mariveles town.

Later in the afternoon, the Chinese delegation motored to famous theme park Las Casas Flipinas de Acuzar in Bagac town where they stayed for the night.
