BALANGA CITY — The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) of the Diocese of Balanga is in need of volunteers, Bishop Ruperto C. Santos announced Monday.
PPCRV is a citizen arm accredited by the Commission on Elections. It is a non-partisan, non-sectarian, non-profit organization of the Roman Catholic Church in the Philippines that seeks to ensure free, fair, and honest elections in the country.
“We are grateful for our PPCRV coordinators. And we are looking forward for more volunteers. God bless us all, now and always,” the Bataan prelate said.
Santos made the call after the installation of the Diocese of Balanga parish coordinators for PPCRV at the Cathedral–Shrine of Saint Joseph here.
Diocesan priest director Noel Nuguid and diocesan lay chairman Joel Danque were present.
The bishop reminded everyone to remember the three “Ks” during the election – “Halalan is our Karapatan, Halalan is our Katungkulan, and Halalan is our Kinabukasan.”
The Diocese of Balanga is composed of Catholic parishes in the towns of Dinalupihan, Hermosa, Orani, Samal, Abucay, Pilar, Orion, Limay, Mariveles, Bagac, and Morong and Balanga City.
