ANGELES CITY – Pampanga 1st District Rep. Carmelo ‘Jon’ Lazatin II and Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. on Tuesday led the inauguration of the Angeles-Magalang Bypass Road.
A flagship project of the congressman, the bypass road will ease up traffic congestion in the old Angeles-Magalang Road in the areas of Pulung Maragul and EPZA-Angeles.
Mayor Lazatin said the road links up Barangay Pulung Cacutud to Barangay Pulung Maragul passing over the North Luzon Expressway with a bridge down to The Infinity central business district and connects to Don Aniceto Gueco Avenue.
The opening of the road is another affirmation of the city government’s commitment to ensure the continuation and completion of priority programs amid the pandemic, the mayor said.
Joining the brothers during the inauguration are Vice Mayor Vicky Vega-Cabigting, Pulung Cacutud chairman Francisco Cura, Pulung Maragul chair Armando Oliveros, officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways-Pampanga 3rd Engineering District, The Infinity owner Eddie Tan, and Hausland Development Corp president Willy Tan who donated some 8,200 square meter of lot for the right of way of the project.
