ANGELES CITY – The city government here under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. is set to inoculate fully vaccinated senior citizens for booster shots against Covid-19 beginning on Thursday, December 16, 2021 via the Sundo Bakuna sa Barangay program.
“Tuloy-tuloy pa rin po tayo sa pagbabakuna para booster shots, ngayon po magsisimula na tayo sa mga Lolo at Lola,” Lazatin said.
Lazatin’s Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, also the chief implementer of the city government’s vaccination program, explained that the vaccination of booster shots will be done via designated schedule per barangay at the two mega vaccination sites in the City College of Angeles and Angeles City National High School.
“Susunduin po via jeepney or bus ang mga seniors sa mga barangays para ihatid po sa CCA o ACNHS,” Calaguas said.
“After naman po ng bakuna, ihahatid din po natin sila sa kanilang mga tahanan,” she added.
These eligible senior citizens have received their second dose of vaccines last June 15, 2021.
All schedules will be posted on the official Facebook page of the City Information Office, Calaguas says.
“Recipients should also present their issued vaccination cards,” she shared.
To date, records from the vaccination operation center show that there are 28,723 elderly who were already fully vaccinated in the 33 barangays.
To recall, 877 doctors, nurses, health workers have received their booster shots last November.
