ANGELES CITY — A total of 1,316 city government employees here – 980 permanent, 321 casual, and 15 contractual – received their ₱6,000 Collective Negotiation Agreement bonus on December 14, 2021.
This after Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. allotted ₱7,896,000 for the release of CNA bonus.
“Binibigay lang po natin sa ating mga empleyado ang nararapat, lalo na sa serbisyo nila sa kabila ng pandemya,” Lazatin said.
Flordeliza Santos, Association of Government Employees for a New Dynamic Angeles City (AGENDA) President, thanked the administration of Mayor Lazatin on behalf of the city government workers in “setting the bar high when it comes to taking care of the employees.”
“Sa ngalan po ng mga empleyado ng city hall, kami po ay nagpapasalamat sa walang humpay na biyaya mula kay Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr.,” Santos said.
For her part, May David of the Office for the Senior Citizen Affairs, one of AGENDA’s Board of Directors, said in the face of the pandemic, the benefits for the employees are still continuous, even pushing for additional incentives.

Joan Javier of the City Agriculture Office, AGENDA’s Public Relations Officer, underscored the efforts and dedication of the administration in prioritizing the welfare of the employees, even of their families, also mentioning the 10 kilogram rice subsidy given to the employees.
AGENDA’s Vice President for Internal Affairs Jesser Mundia of City Health Office, the release of the CNA incentives for the employees is a symbol of success, saying this is a great help for them.
“Ang CNA incentives ay sumisimbolo ng tagumpay para sa mga kawani ng pamahalaang lungsod nd Angeles City! Ang benepisyong ito kasama pa ng ibang matatanggap ay napakalaking tulong,” Mundia said.
For his part, Reggie Rubio, AGENDA BOD, Angeles City Tourism Office, also thanked Lazatin’s Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, for programs being implemented for the employees.
“Mas nagningning ang panahon ng kapaskuhan bagamat tayo po ay nasa pandemya dahil sa inyong walang sawang paggawa ng paraan upang masuportahan ang bawat empleyado ng ating siyudad,” Rubio said.
Meanwhile, Santos also said that the hard work of Mayor Lazatin truly inspires the employees to work harder as he also set an example to provide better and quality public service to the people of Angeles City.
“Damang dama po namin ang pag aaruga at malasakit ni mayor hindi lamang sa amin kung di sampu ng aming mga pamilya,” she added.
Further, the Service Recognition Incentive worth P6,000 will be released on December 21; while the Productivity Enhancement Incentive worth P5,000 is on Dec. 28.
Last Dec. 7, 2,959 Contract of Service employees received their ₱3,000 year-end gratuity.
