CITY OF SAN FERNANDO —Some 750 pregnant women and cancer patients from Guagua and Sasmuan towns received food assistance from 2nd District board member Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab as part of her personal program to assist vulnerable sectors of the community amid the ongoing pandemic.
Pineda-Cayabyab visited Guagua National Colleges to look into the needs of 450 pregnant women and cancer patients. The beneficiaries received canned goods and rice along with some face masks and baby clothes.
The Guagua event was organized by 2nd District board member Tonton Torres. The meeting also served as an informal meet and greet with the provincial legislator to check on the needs of the said sectors amid the ongoing pandemic to help craft more sustainable programs for support and development.
The provincial legislator also encouraged the attendees to avail themselves of vaccines to ensure their families’ protection. The attendees also received some three months supply of Vitamin C.
The lady legislator then proceeded to Sasmuan town where she also extended help to some 302 beneficiaries. She was accompanied by 2nd District board member Fritzie David-Dizon and Guagua vice mayor Sajid Khan Eusoof. MPC-IG
