BALANGA CITY — The provincial social welfare and development office on Tuesday inaugurated the Bataan Child Development and EduChild Resource Center to signal the opening of a facility that will help care for the upbringing of children.
PSWDO chief Marilyn Tigas, Gov. Albert Garcia, Vice-Gov. Cris Garcia and Department of Social Welfare and Development Region 3 assistant director Lalaine de Leon led in the inauguration of the center located at the Bulwagan ng Bayan in Balanga City.
Tigas said the facility will especially be of great help to employees of the Bataan provincial government with children of three to four years old. Their children will be under the care of the center while they are at work. It is operated by the provincial government.
De Leon and other social workers pledged full support to push, protect and look after the welfare of children.
EduChild launched years ago in the province stands for Education for the Upbringing of Children. It focusses not only on children but on good parenting, as well.
