SAMAL, Bataan — Healthcare workers of the rural health unit here on Tuesday reacted favorably to receiving booster shots against the coronavirus disease.
Jackielyn Dichoso, Samal RHU Administrative Aide IV, said she has received her second vaccine dose and willing and ready to receive the booster shot.
Nurse Maria Jessa Aledia said the Department of Health has already issued guidelines on the administration of booster shots that medical workers welcome. She received her second shot of AstraZeneca last May.
Dichoso and Aledia with other health workers were attending to minors 12 – 17 years old undergoing vaccination at the covered court in Samal.
Midwife Lolita Poblete said it was alright for her to be vaxxed with the booster shot after being vaccinated the second shot last May.
“Kasi mas maraming shot, mas marami kaming proteksyon sa katawan,” Poblete said.
She was busy administering measles rubella tetanus diptheria vaccines to children ages six to seven and 12 – 13 years old in Barangay Santa Lucia, Samal.
