ANGELES CITY – With its mission to give clearer vision and quality eye care, Lasik Surgery Clinic celebrates its 13 years as a fully-dedicated LASIK center in north of Manila.
Over the years, Lasik Surgery Clinic business partners and senior eye surgeons Drs. Andrew Angeles and Raoul Henson have offered quality eye care services using an advanced technology excimer laser machine for its Laser In-Situ Keratomileusis (LASIK) eye surgeries.
According to Dr. Angeles, LASIK is a laser eye surgery procedure that treats eyesight problems for distance vision such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.
“Our goal is for you to be independent of your glasses. The majority of our patients have 20/20 vision after surgery. However, some may have post-operative visions ranging from 20/25 to 20/40 on both eyes and are still quite happy,” said Dr. Angeles.
“We trained abroad to learn the LASIK procedure because there was no training yet in the Philippines after our residency. This was very helpful and important when we started our LASIK journey since it gave us confidence in doing the procedure. In the beginning, we used to bring our patients to St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City for all LASIK surgeries until we finally decided to open our own LASIK center here in Angeles City,” added Dr. Henson.
A trusted LASIK center in Pampanga, Lasik Surgery Clinic brings years of experience and commitment to correct refractive vision problems and improve eyesight. They offer a life-changing experience that is free from the inconvenience of wearing eyeglasses or contact lenses.
“Patients still have options to wear glasses or contact lenses, but now they have a better option with freedom from blurred or poor vision. And when we hear them say it’s the best decision they made, that is truly remarkable,” said Dr. Angeles.
“The reactions we get mostly are overwhelming. It is gratifying to see them look at the world with an improved vision after the surgery; they get to appreciate the world better and see things clearer. ” Dr. Henson shared.
Dr. Henson also said the awareness of LASIK surgery among younger patients increases as they become more interested in having the procedure, especially the new graduate students or those applying for jobs that require excellent vision.
“Actually, our patients are mostly around 20 to 30 years old. Mostly graduates and job-seekers that require a 20/20 vision for their profession. While some patients in their mid 30’s to 40’s have their LASIK done to improve their vision, especially when it’s already bothersome for them wearing glasses while doing their daily tasks or activities,” said Dr. Henson.
“LASIK awareness is already here, unlike before when we started, the procedure wasn’t widely accepted. Most patients who come to us used to have worries during the procedure and post-operative care, but now there are only a few. The entire procedure in itself takes only about 15 minutes and is painless,” added Dr. Angeles.
“There isn’t much difference between the LASIK procedure during the late 1990s and the present. The only difference is the newer technology since the machines now are more advanced and high-tech, so the procedure is more accurate and safe,” Dr. Angeles furthered.
Dr. Henson mentioned that they also conduct training for ophthalmologists who are willing to learn LASIK eye surgery as more and more doctors become open to advanced technologies in eye care.
Lasik Surgery Clinic rates range from P48,000 for one eye to P68,000 for both eyes. They also offer free LASIK screening and suitability tests for possible candidates.
