OCTOBER IS Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It is meant to encourage all women to recognize the importance of breasts examination and to raise consciousness on cancer prevention.
Mindful tips that you can follow to achieve healthy breasts:
Maintain your ideal body weight. Obesity contributes to various body illnesses, not just breast cancer. It also brings down self-confidence, self-esteem, sadness, and depression. Be conscious.
Eat your vegetables. Vegetables not only boost the immune system. They take care of the mammary glands. Ingest more green leafy vegetables like kale, spinach, arugula, and cruciferous vegetables – broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage.
Fruits are great body detoxifiers, especially the one from the family of citrus and berries. Consume 2-3 big servings a day, to keep those boobs in good shape.
Add whole grains in your diet. Black/brown rice, oats, barley, quinoa, millet – are rich in fiber. They cleanse your gut (the breeding ground of harmful parasites) and address constipation issues. A clean gut reduces the risk of cancer. Make sure to drink plenty of water when you take fibrous foods.
Nuts are energy builders. It is easy to overeat these delights. Eat the right proportion and avoid eating them at night. Legumes, like lentils and beans, are top plant base protein source. They strengthen bones and muscles.
Exercise 30 minutes a day, 5 times a week, and slowly add minutes as your endurance heightens. Quiet and calm your mind through a daily practice of meditation, 15 minutes a day. Let the rays of the sun shower you with its power booster vitamin D every morning.
Sleep sufficiently, about 8-10 hours. Sleep makes your physical and mental systems recover from the day’s challenges. It makes the mind clearer and in a better state.
Be surrounded by positive people that cheer you up and bring laughter. A cheery atmosphere creates happiness.
Clean your place of dwelling efficiently and put it in order. Get rid of clutters, for you might be housing some harmful bacteria and other kinds of pathogens in your space that may threaten your health. A lot of people are unaware that spaces affect one’s health and mood.
Have a yearly routine test for your breasts. You may also check your own breasts manually. Ask your obstetrician-gynecologist about the steps.
What to avoid: Alcohol, smoking, salty and oily foods, processed foods, dairy products, red meat, weight gain, negative thoughts, and a sedentary way of life.
Keep a well-balanced lifestyle. For what you do now predicts your future.
Namaste.
