SUBIC, Zambales – Not only two as earlier reported here but four members of the Khonghun family have filed certificates of candidacy for various posts in the province of Zambales, effectively displacing the Gordons and the Magsaysays in sheer number.
The patriarch, 1st District Rep. Jeffrey Khonghun will be running for mayor of Castillejos town against former Mayor Jose Angelo Dominguez and former Vice Gov. Angel Magsaysay.
Subic Mayor Johnathan “Jon” Khonghun is seeking reelection.
His brother, Vice Gov. Jefferson “Jay” Khonghun will be contesting the 1st District congressional post being vacated by their father against former Rep. Mitos Magsaysay.
The sister, Jacqueline Rose Ferrer Khonghun is seeking her brother’s vice gubernatorial post against former Vice Gov. Ramon Groesbeck Lacbain II.
