IBA, Zambales – Five years in hiding ended Thursday for a man wanted for frustrated murder with his arrest by the Zambales police.
A report to Zambales police director Col. Romano Velayo Cardiño said at around 1 p.m., joint elements of the Subic police headed by Major San Juan Felmar D. Aquino together with the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company conducted a manhunt operation in Barangay Baraca-Camachile, Subic and arrested suspect Edu Gaviola, 32, of Barangay Mangan-Vaca, Subic. The suspect is listed as Most Wanted Person at Municipal Level.
Records show that Gaviola “with treachery and evident premeditation hit the victim’s head with the use of rock last January 2016 and later went into hiding” for more than five years before his arrest.
The suspect was arrested by virtue of alias warrant of arrest issued by Judge Roline M. Ginez-Jabalde of RTC Branch 74, Olongapo City dated March 9, 2017 under CC Nr. 2016-1222 with recommended bail of P200,000.
