OLONGAPO CITY — Fisherfolks of Barangay Barretto here were provided with fishing gears by the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources through the efforts of Mayor Lenj Paulino Jr. and city agriculture office headed by Francis Ela Maniago.
BFAR-3 regional director Wilfredo Cruz turned over to the fishers one assembly of “payao,” four sets of seaweeds farming materials, one fiberglass banca, and one three-wheeler bike with two ice boxes.
Present at the turnover were by Zambales Vice Gov. Jay Khonghun, city councilors Rodel Cerezo, Tata Paulino, and Jerome Bacay and Barretto punong barangay Gie Baloy, Ying Anonat and Donald Aquino who all helped out in mapping future livelihood projects for the fisherfolk communities.
