IBA, Zambales – Two suspected drug dealers were arrested by operatives of the Zambales police in anti-illegal drug operation launched early morning of Friday in Barangay Cawag, Subic town.
Zambales police director Col. Romano Velayo Cardiño identified the suspects as Rico Nipay y Pascual, 33, regional level drug watch listed, and Luzviminda Nipay y Pascual, 67, both residents of Sitio Agusuhin, Barangay Cawag.
In his report to the Zambales Police Provincial Office, Subic police chief Captain Noel Sitjar said that at about 1:45 a.m., of Oct. 1, joint operatives of Subic police drug enforcement unit, and the provincial drug enforcement unit in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Region 3 conducted the buy-bust in Sitio Agusuhin Barangay Cawag which resulted in the arrest of the suspects.
Seized from the suspects were the buy-bust item of one sachet of suspected shabu, the P1000 buy-bust money, 36 sachets of suspected shabu, P1,500 in cash, and a pouch.
All the seized illegal substances weighed 29.9 grams with an estimated value of P203,320.
The suspects were locked up at the Subic MPS jail facing charges for violation of Section 5 and 11, Article II of RA 9165.
