CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Shabu worth some P3.5 million was seized from two arrested suspects in police drug sting in Minalin town Sunday.
Pampanga police director Col. Arnold Thomas Ibay identified those arrested as Jinky de Dios, 37, listed as high value individual target, and Julie Ann Besa, 42, both residents of Barangay Sta. Trinidad, Angeles City.
Ibay said joint operatives of the Pampanga police’s drug enforcement unit and intelligence branch, and the Minalin police DEU launched the buy-bust operation along MacArthur Highway, Barangay. Sto Domingo, Minalin which resulted to the arrest of the suspects.
Seized from the suspects were 13 heat-sealed plastic sachets of shabu with a combined weight of 515 grams and valued at P3,502,000, the buy-bust money and other pieces of evidence.
Charges for violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are set to be filed against the suspects before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office.
“Our police forces are working relentlessly to attain a drug-free province,” Ibay said as he commended his men for their signal accomplishment.
