BAGAC, Bataan — The municipal government here has launched a project aimed at convincing  its residents to submit to vaccination against the coronavirus disease with the theme “Safe ka na, may motor ka pa.”

Michelle Mendoza Pillagara, secretary of Mayor Ramil del Rosario, announced Friday that at stake are four brand new motorcycles, rice, and cash. “Magpabakuna na at manalo ng bagong motorsiklo, bigas at pera,” she said. “For every 5,000 fully vaccinated, magra-raffle ng isang motorsiklo.”

Pillagara said that included in the raffles are even residents of Bagac who received vaccination in other areas provided they will report their inoculation to their barangays. This will help them in their data gathering of the number of residents fully vaccinated.

As to the other prizes,  Pillagara said for every vaccination site in Bagac, five who have been vaccinated in each site will win 25 kilograms of rice and cash of P1,000. There are two inoculation sites in the town.

The projects are through the initiative of Mayor del Rosario, Vice Mayor Ron del Rosario and the members of the sangguniang bayan.

“Kung ikaw ay wala pang bakuna, ano pa ang hinihintay mo? Mag-register na at maging isang bakunadong Bagakenyo! Now na!,” the LGU urged.

Vice Mayor del Rosario and SB members donated two motorcycles while Ronald del Rosario, father of the vice mayor and brother of the mayor, sponsored the other two units.
