ANGELES CITY — Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. is appealing to all companies here to give their employees “flexible time” to avail themselves of vaccines via the city’s Ronda Bakuna and Sundo Bakuna programs.

Lazatin said these vaccination programs launched by the city government are intended for all priority groups including workers: “Target po nating mabakunahan na ang lahat ng residente ng Angeles City kaya tayo na po mismo ang bumababa sa bawat barangay.”

Prior to every vaccination day schedule, city hall employees from the gender and development office, city social welfare and development office, city anti-drug abuse council, and city nutrition office conduct household visits in the barangay to give out vaccine forms and notices.

“This is why we are asking all companies to allow their employees to receive their vaccines once the Ronda Bakuna and Sundo Bakuna have been scheduled in their respective barangays,” Lazatin stressed,

This, even as he reminded employees to “do their part, give their own time, and participate” in the city’s ongoing vaccination program.

“Sinisikap po ng siyudad na mabakunahan na ang lahat ng mga Angeleños, nang sa gayon ay maseguro natin ang kanilang kapakanan at kaligtasan lalo na ngayon na may pandemya pa,” Lazatin said.

To date, under the A4 priority group of economic workers and frontliners and uniformed personnel, 35,962 have already received their first dose of vaccine, while 15,150 were fully vaccinated.

Lazatin reminded the public that the vaccine being administered by the city government is for free and cautioned residents not to entertain groups or individuals asking for payment for inoculations.

The mayor urges his constituents to immediately report any of these fraudulent activities in the city government’s hotline 09517570226.
