CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Medical Center (OLMCMC) celebrated its 20th founding anniversary at the College of the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel on July 16.

The event was attended by OLMCMC president and medical director Dr. Monet Briones with husband, chairman of the board Engr. Adrian Briones, chief operating officer Dr. Carmela Briones-Diaz, corporate secretary Engr. Jesus Gerard Briones, and treasurer Bernadette Lucia Briones together with the doctors, administrators, teachers, staff of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel group of companies.

OLMCMC is a tertiary hospital with 140-bed capacity equipped with state-of-the-art medical facilities and instruments.

Founded on July 16, 2001 in honor of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, the OLMCMC aims to provide quality service through healthcare facilitation, education and promotion.

According to Dr. Briones, there may have been a lot of problems and challenges that they have encountered for the past 20 years yet they remain steadfast especially amidst the pandemic.

“Initially during the first few months of the Covid-19 situation, there were doctors and nurses who had worries about going to the hospital or even just going out of their homes. But despite the pandemic, they didn’t leave us. Our doctors, nurses, our staff, we saw their love, dedication, and loyalty,” said Briones.

Hence during the event, OLMCMC honored its frontliners and awarded its doctors, nurses, administrators, teachers, and staff who rendered eight to 20 years of service, dedication, and hardwork.

Briones shared OLMCMC plans to complete its services and laboratories for their doctors and patients as they are already constructing its coronary bypass unit to start putting their plans in motion.

“We are currently constructing a coronary bypass unit. All of our services, laboratories, as much as possible we want it to be complete so our patients won’t need to go to a different hospital for the services they will need. Hopefully, it will be like a one-stop-shop soon,” Briones said.

OLMCMC envisions itself to be the best in the medical field by providing the collaborative delivery of its services with compassion and care to become a world-class hospital within the reach of everyone.
