GAPAN CITY – A lady security guard and two male companions were arrested while having a pot session inside a motel in Barangay San Vicente here at around 4:30 a.m. Thursday.
Acting city police director Lt. Col. Alexie Desamito identified the suspects as Dennis Velasquez, 35, and Aldrin Linsangan, 29, both residents of Barangay Balante here; and Cindy Placides, 34, a lady guard from Barangay Maugat, San Antonio, Nueva Ecija.
Desamito said operatives from the station drug enforcement unit, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, initially conducted a buy-bust operation and a poseur buyer managed to buy one sachet from the suspects who turned to be in the middle of a pot session in the motel.
“During the body search police operatives recovered another five pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic sachets from Velasquez, five from Linsangan and two sachets and paraphernalia from Placides,” Desamito said in her report to Nueva Ecija police director Col. Jaime Santos.
The seized substances have an estimated volume of 1.56 grams with street value of P10,608, police said.
Charges of violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act were leveled against the suspects.
