IBA, Zambales – Joint operatives of the town and maritime police, provincial intel unit, and mobile force companies arrested a man for possession of firearm, explosive, and drugs in Purok 6, Barangay Bangantalinga here Friday.
Acting Iba chief of police Major Bryan Christopher Baybayan identified the suspect as Leo Bobier y Fuertes of the said place.
Bobier was served Search Warrant No. RTC-31-2021-I issued by Judge Consuelo Amog-Bocar of RTC Branch 71, Iba, Zambales, dated May 19, 2021 for violation of RA 10591 (Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunitions)
During the search, police recovered from the suspect possession one .45 pistol of unknown brand, without serial number and with magazine loaded with eight live ammunition; one hand grenade; nine heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu; one black sling bag and seven pieces of P100 bill.
The suspect is now detained at Iba police detention cell facing charges for violation of RA 10591, RA 9516 (Illegal Possession of Explosives) and Section 11 of RA 9165 before the office of Provincial Prosecutor Iba, Zambales.
