BALANGA CITY — The public employment service office here announced Wednesday that it will be holding the first-ever virtual job fair in the province from May 17 to 21, 2021 with the theme “Manggagawa at Mamamayan: Babangon, Susulong!”.
Organizers said more than 1,000 local and overseas job opportunities are available in the fair. The entire application process will be online and registration is free.
Various local and overseas jobs will be featured at the Vantagehunt portal.
“We like to make the experience available at the comfort and safety of your own home. Job seekers can also expect on-the-spot interviews from their respective employers with greater chances of being hired on the same day,” PESO said.
Gov. Albert Garcia said the initiative is in partnership between the Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Trade and Industry, and other national government agencies with Vantagehunt, a paperless employment solution platform.
The week-long event will feature online skills demonstration with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority and the Department of Science and Technology to be showcased live on the PESO Facebook account and page open for existing micro, small and medium enterprises, and aspiring entrepreneurs who want to put up their own businesses.
A pre-employment orientation Webinars with DTI, DOLE and the provincial human resource management office for a comprehensive discussion on tips, requirements, and latest labor market outlook and trends under the new normal will also be held.
The governor said there will be also a Webinar on illegal recruitment from the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration to educate workers on how to avoid being exploited especially during this trying time of the pandemic.
