SUBIC, Zambales — A suspected drug peddler in the watchlist of PNP Zambales was arrested by joint operatives of the Subic police drug enforcement unit and the provincial police intelligence unit in a buy-bust operation Tuesday in Barangay Aningway here.
A report submitted to Zambales police director Col. Romano Velayo Cardiño identified the suspect as Ricky Jhon Dela Cruz y Ginca, 31, of Purok 5, Barangay Calapandayan also in Subic.
Police said De la Cruz was arrested in the act of selling a sachet of shabu worth P500 to a police poseur–buyer. Confiscated from him were 10 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of shabu weighing about eight grams with an estimated value of P54,400.
Police added that the suspect had a previous arrest for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article ll of RA 9165.
“We will continue to step-up on our anti-illegal drug operation to stop criminality in our province” said Cardiño.
