CITY OF SAN FERNANDO The city government on Tuesday started giving senior citizens here their first dose of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine after it completed those of the health frontliners.

Muñoz added that the city health office targets to inoculate 1,733 senior citizens until Thursday with almost 1,700 doses of Sinovac vaccines the Department of Health turned over to the local government for the A2 group or adults aged 60 and above.

All registered senior citizens underwent screening and counselling before vaccination to ensure their safety, and monitored in case they developed allergies or adverse reactions after the jabs.

Senior citizens with comorbidities are also qualified to receive Covid-19 vaccine while those who have immuno-compromised conditions should present medical certificate from their private doctors before vaccination.

Meanwhile, the local government discouraged walk-ins for senior citizens as the inoculation was based on a pre-programmed master list.

The local government assured that all senior citizens who underwent pre-registration will be vaccinated.

“May bakuna po tayo for the senior citizens.

Those who have not yet registered may visit the official Facebook page of the city information office to get an access for the QR Code. Forms for manual registration are also available in barangay health centers.
