A WOMAN needs to be loved, not understood. This is the first understanding. Osho.

Since it’s the celebration of women this month (which I think should be every month), I thought of featuring some of the women I admire for their effortless beauty, inner sparkle, intelligence, grace, kindness, and humility.

My question to all of them: How do you take care of your physical health, mind and beauty?

Ananya Tyagi, Indian actress, yoga and meditation guru

The very first thing I do in the morning is to meditate. It makes me prepare my mind and body, for the day ahead.

For my physical health, I do daily yoga asanas, jogging, and eat pure vegan meals. All these help me maintain my inner and outer beauty.

My selfawareness, makes me holistically balanced and healthy. I like journeying inward and get to know my innermost self better. I understand that what I perceive outside mirrors my inside. So, I try to be awake and totally present at all times – in mind, body and spirit, in everything that I do.

Juggling work and family life is not an easy task. But by being a woman, I can endure anything for my loved ones.

For physical regimen, I used to do ballet classes before the pandemic arrived.  Though not regularly, I love to dance and sweat, to improve my body strength and detoxify. For my immune system booster, I use Young Living products and health supplements.

For my mind, I lift up and surrender all my worries and anxiety through prayers to the Almighty, especially during this season of different virus variants emerging.

On the beauty care, I use YL Bloom Skin Care line for the face, Bloom Collagen drink, Ningxia, a beautiful smile and a sunny attitude to brighten those around me.

Erika Jimenez-Nepomuceno, lawyer

With four kids and a busy law practice, I’ve learned that self-care is absolutely essential in ensuring I am on top of my game. I make sure to eat healthy and to exercise at least 3-4 times a week. I take supplements such as vitamins and minerals for any nutrient deficiencies. I also take essential herbs like turmeric, elderberry, ashwagandha, and echinacea to boost my immune system. I drink a lot of water to keep hydrated and get eight hours of sleep. I try to be consistent with my morning and evening beauty routine, such as cleaning, toning, and moisturizing.

Having said that, I am a firm believer that physical beauty means nothing without ensuring that my mental health is likewise in check. I’ve learned to manage stress and know and respect my own boundaries. I’ve also learned to know when to take a step back to allow myself to decompress from life’s daily stresses. The practice of gratitude, kindness, and mindfulness also play a huge part in a healthy state of mind. Above all, prayers and my strong faith have provided a solid and unshakeable foundation for my overall wellbeing.

Felisa “Leigh” Jocson, entrepreneur

To take care of my physical health, mind and beauty, requires balance and harmony approaches.  A focused mindset, strong willpower and determination to achieve health and life goals, I make sure are all in place in my daily life. I flow in my continuous journey and motivated to be in my best version, no matter where life brings me. and it may vary for every individual. Caring for my mind, I practice inner mindfulness, read my favorite book and sing, which makes me relax.

For my body I exercise, though not so regular now, and I select healthier food. I make sure that my body and mind are in sync and balance, for it delivers beauty.

I believe that self love should always be a priority to function well, with the different roles we play as a woman. We can’t pour from an empty cup, we need to take care of ourselves first so we can take care of others. I strongly advocate holistic living and approaches, to achieve a true balance.

Following our own pace, instinct within and rhythm, so that our life’s journey begins and ends with love.

Marizel Mallari- Catungal, MD

To keep my mood always bright, I make sure that I start each day with a grateful heart and prayers to the Almighty. I have been so blessed with wonderful days and thankful for the beautiful days ahead.

I take care of my physical body through regular exercise, like yoga and strength training with a trainer. I practice the mindful eating method by having healthy food choices.

I cleanse my mind by thinking positive and learned to let go of things that burden the mind. I am always ready to accept challenges and mastered how to ride the waves of the tides.

In my line of work, I always start my day helping those who are in pain and in need of urgent medical attention. Helping people nurture my heart and spirit with vitality and energizes me to keep on going, serving others.

Myla Galang, international marketing executiveSingapore

For physical health and beauty. I have a strong discipline. Aside from choosing my nourishment well, I stop eating before I get full. I also do regular exercise and stretches. Face creams and body lotion, are my skin’s nurturer. I maintain a positive outlook and welcome all circumstances that come my way, be theygood or not. Be kind at all times and to all creations is the way of life that I follow. For I believe that when you do good, everything else will follow, such as peace of mind, happiness, good aura, and prosperity.

These women made this month a happier month indeed. A bountiful blessing to you all!

Namaste.
