CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — “Hindi probinsiya, hindi munisipyo, hindi barangay, kundi sa mismong pamamahay.”
Thus, Pampanga Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda ordered a “household lockdown” in the province from March 20 to April 5, 2021 as he re-imposed strict conditions under the Modified General Community Quarantine due to rising Covid-19 cases that shot up to 120 last Thursday and 75 on Friday morning due to local transmission.
As of March 18, the province has 757 active cases. At least 7,421 people have recovered from infection while 449 have died.
Pineda instructed households to stop receiving guests, allowing only two persons to leave homes to buy essential good and requiring persons below 18 years old and over 60 years old to stay at home. Liquor selling and buying are banned.
He also required non-residents of Pampanga including Angeles City to present the result of their RT-PCR or antigen test that is taken 72 hours before they enter the province.
Commercial and business establishments are allowed to serve at 50 percent capacity.
Curfew has been re-imposed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning 12:01 on March 20. Health workers, government frontliners, essential or night shift workers are exempted from the curfew.
Checkpoints have also been reactivated in the barangays, under police supervision.
Mayors were directed to set guidelines and protocols governing public markets.
The governor ordered the police to strictly implement these instructions. Parents will face charges if their children are caught violating safety protocols. Adult violators will be detained in open spaces identified by the local police.
Residents are required to comply with safety protocols such as the wearing of face masks and shields, maintain 1-2 meters physical distance and avoid crowded gatherings.
The governor will be distributing pulse oximeters, thermometers and face shields to barangay health workers to be used especially by senior citizens.
