ANGELES CITY – A buy-bust operation set by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Luzon during the weekend here yielded P480,000-worth of liquid methamphetamine and kush.
It also led to the arrest of a former policeman and four others.
PDEA-3 director Christian Frivaldo said the illegal substances were recovered from a makeshift drug den that was subsequently dismantled by the operatives.
He identified those arrested as former cop Frederick Torres, as Jay Nugid, Jennifer Nugid, Arlene Campos,and Rona Tabuena.
Upon inventory, the seized illegal drugs comprised of three vials of liquid methamphetamine with an estimated value of P240,000, and some 60 grams of kush or premium cannabis also valued at P240,000. Assorted drug paraphernalia were also recovered.
Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared against the arrested suspects.
