CABANATUAN CITY – All offices of the National Irrigation Administration-Upper Pampanga River Integrated Irrigation System (NIA-UPRIIS) expressed resolve to work for the upliftment of irrigation services to client farmers amid challenges posed by the coronavirus disease pandemic.
This developed as officials and personnel of NIA-UPRIIS’s six irrigation divisions and the dam and reservoir division underscored their accomplishments last Tuesday at the NIA-wide ushering ceremony with the theme “2021: Fostering, Resiliency and Efficiency for Proficient Service Through Innovations and Modernization.“
Led by their respective division managers Engr. Felix L. Teaño, Jr. of Division I in Malayantoc, Sto. Domingo; Engr. Alvin L. Manuel, Sr. of Division II in Talavera; Engr. Elenita L. Toquero of Division III in Cabanatuan City; Engr. Wilfredo A. Balauro of Division IV in Gapan City; Engr. Leonardo F. Ramos of Division V in Maturanoc, Guimba; Engr. Jose Ariel G. Domingo of Interim Division VI in Cawayan Bugtong, Guimba; and Engr. Ernesto D. Ponce of DRD in Pantabangan – all in Nueva Ecija province, the UPRIIS division offices conducted their ushering program which also involved the unveiling of their individual offices’ Aperture Optimism Board with collation of their staff smiling photos.
Underscoring the gains of their offices in working despite the need to follow quarantine protocols,Division II manager Manuel asked his employees to be “innovative and adaptive to modern technology.”
Division III manager Toquero stressed that resiliency remains a key for success, noting: “Even if there were many problems encountered by each one of us last year because of the pandemic, we must be resilient and strong and we must have time to smile as how we smiled in our pictures displayed and posted.”
Division VI manager Domingo, on the other hand, led his employees in signifying an enthusiastic service above pandemic as they held the activity on top of their office building.
They also focused on the Aperture Optimism Board with pictures of NIA employees posted on the wall representing strength, resiliency, achievements, legacy, creative spirit, happiness, and optimism.
In Pantabangan, DRD manager Ponce unveiled the board which disclosed “behind-the-scene moments of excellence and commitments of every DRD employee.”
The programs were highlighted with viewing of the New Year’s message call to NIA administrator Ricardo R. Visaya.
