BALANGA C
ITY —  The Bataan Police Provincial Office here made sure orphaned children feel the spirit of Christmas despite the ongoing coronavirus disease pandemic.

Acting Bataan police director Col. Joel K. Tampis said on Saturday that the provincial police community affairs and development unit headed by Lt. Colonel Ricardo B. Santiago, Jr. conducted a gift-giving activity at King’s Garden Children’s Home, an orphanage in Orion, Bataan.

Joining Santiago were community affairs and development police non-commissioned officers of all police units and stations, the public information office of the Bataan PPO said.

Tampis said the group distributed gifts for all children and the people who are taking care of the kids in the form of toys, vitamin C, personal hygiene packs, milk, educational materials, school supplies, food packs, and other items necessary for the orphanage management.

He said that the gift-giving activity was undertaken in accordance with the minimum health protocols and in compliance with the police “Ligtas Paskuhan 2020”.

The officers and men of the Philippine National Police in Bataan felt the happiness of the children who were reminded of the spirit of Christmas especially when they heard the singing of the choir dedicated to them,” Tampis said.

It is indeed true that the happiness brought by children to our police force cannot be compared to any material thing,” he added.

Tampis said the activity was made possible through the efforts of squad teams of Bataan PPO and their chiefs of police/force commanders and food sponsors Jocyl Saringan and Executive Master Sergeant Roy Castillo.
